Carrefour signed an agreement with the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore in Pakistan on April 26th, 2022 to establish two standalone stores – with an investment of around PKR 1 billion.
Alongside increasing the presence of the brand and creating convenient shopping areas with quality products and competitive prices, Carrefour will also create around 500 jobs (indirect and direct), playing a small role in increasing the employment rates of the country.
The investment for these stores will bring Carrefour’s total investment in Pakistan to a whopping PKR 11 billion. Moreover, Carrefour’s processes will help streamline Pakistan’s supply chain even further, since the giant sources 99% of its products locally, through more than 700 Pakistani partners and suppliers.
Carrefour also signed an MOU with Al Khidmat Foundation in February. The agreement revolved around both organizations supporting individuals & families in need during Ramadan.
