Application call for the NIMS Internship in Japan 2025, NIMS also known as National Institute for Material Science is inviting applications for Undergraduate and graduate students for its research internship program.  This year the NIMS will accept one hundred students from all around the world to participate in their internship program. Students currently pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees and want to experience cutting-edge research activities in one of the renowned research institutes are invited to submit their applications.

The internship aims to provide hands-on research experience to the students in the areas of science and materials the duration of the NIMS internship is 90 days during which you will engage in research, conferences, workshops, etc. The internship application doesn’t require any application fee and there is no IELTS requirement. Eligibility Criteria:

The host institute offers financial support to the selected students that offers:

How to Apply for NIMS Internship 2025 in Japan?

To apply for the internship you need to follow the following steps:

1. Find Host Researcher: Interested students need to find their preferred researcher on the NIMS “Samurai” Directory.

2. Contact Researcher: Once you have chosen your researcher contact them via email and send the required documents

3. Application Review: After the submission of the application, the researcher will review your documents if they agree to accept you as Internee they will submit your application to the graduate program section.

Note: The Graduate Program Section, Academic Collaboration will accept the application from the NIMS researcher.
