Naseer Soomro, one of the tallest men in the world, has passed away at the age of 55 in his hometown of Shikarpur, Pakistan. Standing at an incredible 7 feet 9 inches (2.36 meters), Soomro was a well-known figure both in Pakistan and internationally.

Born in the Shikarpur District of Sindh, Pakistan, Soomro's height quickly gained him recognition across various platforms nationally and internationally. Given his stature, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) wanted to get him onboard and eventually, he accepted a job with them. He was working with the national airline as a Senior Passenger Handling Services Officer in the customer service department.

His remarkable height led him to a trip abroad to Taiwan back in 1999 where he represented Pakistan at the Guinness Book of World Records Museum. He was there for four months, and it was during this trip that he met Lin Yu Chih, one of the world's shortest men. This moment remained memorable for onlookers.

Naseer had been battling a chronic lung disease for years. Despite the constant treatments, his condition had been worsening in the previous months. His death has left many in mourning, especially those who knew him as a warm and kindhearted person. His funeral prayers were offered in his hometown Shikarpur on March 18th, 2025 with many coming in to pay their final respects.
