This is not a tourism/location post but since everyone's always excited about the lunar eclipse in Pakistan (2025), here's a bit of information to help! 🙂
A total lunar eclipse (an eclipse of the moon), will be visible on the 13th and 14th of March 2025. This “Blood Moon” phenomenon means that the moon will turn a deep red as it passes through the Earth’s shadow. This will be the first total lunar eclipse since 2022!
The lunar eclipse or blood moon will be visible across North America and South America during the night, but it may also be visible in parts of Europe and Africa at moonset. In the Asian region (including Pakistan), there is a slight chance of experiencing the lunar eclipse (depending on the local conditions and the weather).
The detailed time slots for viewing the lunar eclipse in Pakistan are:
- Penumbral phase begins: 8:57 AM Pakistan Time
- Partial eclipse starts: 10:09 AM Pakistan Time
- Total eclipse (Blood Moon): 11:26 AM – 12:31 PM Pakistan Time
- Partial eclipse ends: 1:47 PM Pakistan Time
- Penumbral phase ends: 3:00 PM Pakistan Time
Unlike the solar eclipse, no special equipment is needed. However, telescopes or binoculars can help enhance the view!
Best of luck to those who want to watch it!
