On completion of 77 years, the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with full enthusiasm and national fervor. The event featured inspiring speeches highlighting the significance of the day; followed by the national songs performed by NIMA researchers. The festivities culminated at the cake-cutting ceremony.

Prior to the conclusion, the President of NIMA expressed his gratitude to the entire NIMA family for organizing such a nice event. He stressed to youth that we need to study our history to develop a true understanding of the two-nation theory and its relevance with what is happening in our eastern neighborhood, especially with minorities due to religious extremism under Hindutva ideology.

In Pakistan, as per Quaid-e-Azam’s speech, religious and cultural diversity is our strength. He also emphasized the use of social media with great prudence. He underlined the significance of setting goals in life and looking after less privileged people in society as our religious and social duty.
