Introduction

Are you a young leader interested in global peace, security, and sustainable development? The Armament and Disarmament Summer School 2026 in Sweden offers a unique fully funded opportunity for students, researchers, and professionals to gain specialized knowledge in international security and disarmament.

The program is co-hosted by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and the Alva Myrdal Center for Nuclear Disarmament (AMC) and will take place at Uppsala University, Sweden. Scheduled from August 24–28, 2026, this five-day immersive summer school will bring together 25 participants from around the world.

Participants will engage in interactive workshops, expert lectures, and seminars focusing on armament control, disarmament policies, and international security. The program also encourages women, applicants from developing countries, and underrepresented groups to apply.
