Pakistan’s Fast Food Boom

This infographic, presented by Nazar and Paradigm Shift in collaboration with the Pakistan Food Journal, provides insight into how the fast food industry is shaping Pakistan’s economy and consumer culture.

Pakistan’s fast food industry is experiencing significant growth, making it the 8th largest fast food market globally. With a vast consumer base of 180 million people, the demand for fast food continues to rise, contributing to the economy in a substantial way. The industry’s annual growth rate stands at 20%, highlighting its rapid expansion and increasing consumer preference for quick-service meals.

Food processing has become the second-largest industry in Pakistan, following the textile sector. It surpasses other major industries such as chemical manufacturing and cement production. This growth reflects the increasing urbanization, changing lifestyles, and rising disposable incomes that have fueled the fast food boom across the country.
