Our infographic on violence in Pakistan provides a sobering overview of the security landscape in the state, characterized by a high frequency of violent incidents and significant casualties. The data reveals a stark geographical disparity, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan emerging as the primary epicenters of unrest. These western provinces suffer from a combination of militant attacks, targeted killings, and suicide bombings.
While Punjab and Sindh report lower levels of violence, the overall national trend points to a persistent and complex security challenge. The analysis underscores that border regions remain particularly volatile, necessitating sustained counter-terrorism efforts to mitigate the loss of civilian and security personnel’s lives.
