Chevening Scholarship Overview

The Chevening Scholarship is a fully funded international awards program designed to develop global leaders. Around 1,500 scholarships are awarded each year to candidates from Chevening-eligible countries, including Pakistan.

Scholars can pursue a full-time taught Master’s degree in any subject at any recognized UK university. The program aims to foster long-term positive relationships between the UK and emerging leaders worldwide.

Chevening Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

• Full university tuition fees

• Monthly stipend for living expenses

• Return airfare to and from the UK (economy class)

• Arrival allowance and homeward departure allowance

• Visa application cost coverage

• Travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of Pakistan (or another Chevening-eligible country)

• Commit to return to Pakistan for at least 2 years after the scholarship ends

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree equivalent to UK upper second-class 2:1 honours

• Have at least 2 years of work experience (2,800 hours)

• Apply to three eligible UK Master’s courses and secure at least one unconditional offer by July 2026

• Meet the English language requirements

Not Eligible If You:

• Hold British or dual British citizenship (exceptions apply for British Overseas Territories)

• Have refugee status in a non-Chevening country (unless exceptions apply)

• Are an employee, former employee, or close relative of an employee of the UK Government or Chevening partner organizations (within the last 2 years)

• Have previously studied in the UK with UK Government funding
