Epstein Files

The Jeffrey Epstein Files, Trump, and the Zionist Media Narratives

The "Epstein files," a collection of court documents, flight logs, and contacts, contains the names of many prominent figures – including, allegedly, President Donald Trump. While the US Department of Justice has announced that the files do not contain a secret "client list," their release has created a political firestorm. Ayesha Saeed discusses how the scandal has become a point of contention among Trump's supporters and a topic of debate in both American and Israeli media.

What Are the Epstein Files?

Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019) was a financier from New York who developed a network of well-known and affluent friends. Al Jazeera reports that he was prosecuted on federal sex trafficking charges in New York in 2019. Prior to this, in 2008, Epstein registered as a child sex offender after being found guilty of sex offenses in Florida.

In August 2019, he committed suicide while incarcerated. According to the US Office of Public Affairs, after his death, federal and court investigators gathered piles of evidence from his houses and accounts, including flight logs for his private aircraft, a “little black book” of contacts, grand jury transcripts, victim testimonies, and other papers.

The names of well-known people were occasionally included in these files. This collection has been referred to as the “Epstein Files” or “Epstein List” by the media and online forums. According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump himself is named in unreleased documents that relate to Epstein, and was told as much by Attorney General Pam Bondi in May. Dozens of names were mentioned in a release of court documents in 2024. Prince Andrew, former US President Bill Clinton, and Michael Jackson were among the associates, friends, and alleged victims named in the 900 pages that were declassified.

Most emphasis has been focused on Epstein’s contact book and flight logs, which document who flew aboard his private aircraft. For instance, as per the US Office of Public Affairs, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office, 341 pages of previously available information (such as flight logs and addresses) made up the majority of the initial declassification, or “Phase 1,” which was published in February 2025.

Hundreds of names were among them, but there was no “client list” that was kept hidden. As Al Jazeera claims, the files reveal Epstein’s “extensive network” of social contacts and evidence. But the prosecution emphasizes that nothing in the records alone establishes wrongdoing by individuals.

Investigators are scaling up their examination of Epstein’s network in 2025. As reported by The Associated Press under MSN, the House Oversight Committee arranged a transcribed interview with former prosecutor Alexander Acosta and summoned Epstein’s estate, asking for Ghislaine Maxwell’s purported “birthday book” of contributions. In addition, as stated by the United States Senate Committee on Finance, along with financial and travel information, oversight has also questioned and requested testimony from previous officials, such as former FBI directors and Bill and Hillary Clinton. Before releasing records to the public, committee officials say they will analyse and edit them.

Ghislaine Maxwell

As per a Reuters report, transcripts of Maxwell’s two-day July 2025 interview with Deputy AG Todd Blanche were made public by the Justice Department in August 2025. According to Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year jail term, Epstein “kept a lot to himself,” and she was aware that there was no official “client list” of influential clients. Moreover, it also mentioned that she denied ever seeing President Trump or anyone else “in any inappropriate setting,” and she did not link any other well-known people to Epstein’s wrongdoing.

According to a CBS News report, Maxwell has requested the US Supreme Court to reconsider her conviction, alleging that a 2008 non-prosecution agreement for Epstein should include her. Her lawyer commended the interview as proof of her innocence. As mentioned in a memo shared in July 2025 by the US Department of Justice, the FBI, after a thorough examination of the materials taken from Epstein, had discovered “no incriminating ‘client list'” and no proof to support additional charges against any not indicted associates. Aside from Epstein and Maxwell, no one else has been charged as of yet.

Trump’s Known Ties to Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein and President Donald Trump have a history dating back to the 1990s. Trump and Epstein interacted at gatherings in New York and Florida resorts. Epstein’s flight logs and address books do contain Trump and his family’s names, which is in line with this background. As per Reuters, during Maxwell’s 2021 trial, federal pilots testified that Trump took several flights on Epstein’s private jet during the 1990s.

Moreover, Fox News also reports that Trump’s name actually appears on Epstein’s jet logs at least six times between 1993 and 1994 and eight times between 1993 and 1997. Unsealed files that have been made public thus far support those figures. Trump’s name was mentioned nine times in the “Phase 1” declassified batch in both his contact book and logs. Epstein’s contact book also contains entries for Ivana Trump, Trump’s then-wife Marla Maples, and other family members. As an example, a page from Epstein’s “little black book,” which is already available in court records, lists “D. Trump’s” address next to Ivana.

Trump and Epstein hung out in Palm Beach in the 1990s. As per the CNN Transcripts Website, despite highlighting his previous friendliness with Epstein, Trump now portrays their relationship as aloof (“we had a falling out”) prior to any legal issues. Over the course of two decades, their careers came into contact: Epstein was there at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago wedding (shown above), and in 2008, while Trump was positioning himself as a tough-on-crime real estate magnate, Epstein resolved a Florida lawsuit.

Effects on Trump’s Image and Ambitions

According to the Guardian, calls to GOP offices on the release of the “Epstein files” poured in, indicating that some of his core followers desire complete transparency. The administration’s failure to release additional information has been openly criticized by prominent supporters such as Elon Musk and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene as a “cover-up.” According to Reuters, a large portion of the Make America Great Again supporters are “engulfed” in conspiracy theories over Epstein and don’t believe Trump’s justification. In fact, according to a recent Reuters/Ipsos survey, more than two-thirds of Americans—including most Republicans—think the Trump Administration is concealing facts on Epstein.

However, many Trump supporters don’t appear to care. The Guardian discovered that many MAGA supporters dismiss the Epstein case in “middle America.” Moreover, it also mentions that the reporters in Trump-friendly communities heard his supporters say things like, “That’s a bunch of bullshit,” and “Epstein is dead—it’s over. One Pennsylvania voter summed up their fervent commitment by saying, “I don’t know—Trump is right about everything, no matter what he does.”

According to a Washington Post poll, only 43% of MAGA Republicans who identified as such agreed with Trump’s handling of the matter (with 39% disagreeing), suggesting that many conservatives had reservations. However, even this hesitation pales in comparison to the 58% of voters who opposed Trump’s Epstein policy. It also reports that the dispute has caused division among Republican officials within the party. In an attempt to divert attention, President Donald Trump himself directed reporters to the names of Democratic leaders connected to Epstein, such as hedge fund managers and Bill Clinton.

Right-wing figures, including Steve Bannon, Charlie Kirk, and Jack Posobiec, explicitly cautioned Trump’s campaign that secrecy would not be tolerated by the base. The administration responded by subtly making the following concessions: Trump approved interviews with Maxwell’s co-defendants and the Washington Post and directed the US Justice Department to seek the unsealing of grand jury transcripts. It also mentions that the Florida grand jury material seal has not yet been lifted by a federal judge. All DOJ documents on Epstein were subpoenaed by the House Oversight Subcommittee last week (with some Republicans joining Democrats).

Role of Zionist Media in Controlling the News

Israelis Named in Official Epstein Documents

As per the local news source of Zionism, News Israel, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak is mentioned as one of Epstein’s allies and is said to have visited him numerous times between 2013 and 2017, travelling on Epstein’s private jet. He is the owner of Carbnye, a software company that supposedly offers Mossad AI and cybersecurity services.

It also mentions former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is initially identified in the declassified documents as being connected to Epstein.

The following other Israeli-affiliated people are mentioned in the documents:

  • Arik Gutman, a long-time adviser to Shimon Peres and a former Israeli diplomat.
  • Avi Gil, Peres’s team’s former Israeli diplomat.
  • Elisa Eshed was recognized in the Epstein archives by an official email entry from the Israel Tax Authority.

Media Landscape & Political Pressure

As per the report of Washington Wick, the Israeli media’s coverage of Epstein’s connections to former Prime Minister Ehud Barak drew public criticism from Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu criticized media outlets for not posing challenging questions at an address to the Knesset, saying, “They invite Ehud Barak…with great respect. And oddly, not a single question about the topic is posed to him. The media are phony channels, not news outlets.

Influence Within Media Ownership

Moreover, it has been stated that the former employees have accused the prominent Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth of suppressing or downplaying information about politicians who have strong relations to its owner, Arnon Mozes (e.g., Ehud Olmert, Ehud Barak). Investigations into corruption connected to these individuals have been suppressed or altered.

Editorial Framing of Epstein Coverage

The Newsrael also mentions that the story presented by a large portion of the Israeli media minimizes or disassociates Epstein from conspiracy theories that connect him to Mossad. Instead of implying Mossad involvement, coverage typically concentrates on established ties to prominent Israeli officials, such as Ehud Barak and Ehud Olmert.

Though there is insufficient evidence to support them, hypotheses like Ari Ben Menashe’s claim that Epstein worked for Mossad are occasionally re-examined by alternative or fringe media sites.

Official Israeli Reaction

According to the Independent, the claims of Epstein-Mossad connections were officially denied by former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who described the rumors as “a vicious wave of slander and lies” and declared with “100% certainty” that Epstein was never employed by Israel or Mossad. These conspiracy theories have been strongly refuted in the media and online by Zionist officials, who have presented them as a component of anti-Israel prejudice propagated by figures such as Tucker Carlson.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the so-called “Epstein list” is a collection of Epstein’s flight logs, address books, and court records, many of which were previously public or semi-public, rather than a secret smoking gun. Donald Trump’s name appears several times in these files from the 1990s.   However, no fresh accusations or charges have surfaced against him. As per Fox News, Trump’s supporters claim there is “nothing there” and label the inquiries from reporters as partisan attacks. The White House has not been forthcoming, according to critics, and Trump’s personal history warrants investigation.

Views on the influence vary widely. According to the Guardian, most people are uncomfortable with Trump’s allegations of the Epstein cover-up. Others, however, claim that the matter has not much dampened the fervor of his core fans.

There is no known legal inquiry into Trump in this case. Politically speaking, though, he has had to invest time and effort in refuting these tales; this is a change from his prior emphasis on immigration and the economy. It’s unclear if these disclosures will influence enough people to make a difference in 2024 or if the scandal will just be another chapter in Trump’s lengthy presidential history.

Furthermore, the Zionist media has allegedly contributed to the list. The reason for this is that a number of well-known leaders are purportedly listed. Important concerns regarding openness, media freedom, and the impact of power on investigative journalism in Israel’s press environment are brought up by this selective silence.
