NIMA and CISS-AJK Sign a Memorandum of Understanding for Closer Collaboration

NIMA and CISS-AJK signed an MoU on March 27, 2025, at NIMA’s head office in Islamabad to enhance collaboration in research and academia. The agreement, signed by Vice Admiral (Retd.) Ahmed Saeed and Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja, aims to foster joint initiatives, particularly in Pakistan’s maritime affairs and youth education programs.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between NIMA and the Centre for International Strategic Studies (CISS) AJK on March 27, 2025, at NIMA’s head office, Bahria University, Islamabad.
The document was formally endorsed with the signatures of Vice Admiral (Retd.) Ahmed Saeed HI(M), president of NIMA, and Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja, executive director of CISS-AJK.

During the signing ceremony, Vice Admiral Ahmed Saeed warmly welcomed the CISS delegation and emphasized the significance of strengthening collaboration between the two think tanks.
Through this MoU, both institutions have committed to establishing a structured framework for collaboration, fostering academic and research activities, and promoting high-quality research.

The agreement will also facilitate joint initiatives related to Pakistan’s maritime affairs.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja highlighted that the MoU would play a pivotal role in raising awareness among Pakistan’s youth through jointly coordinated educational activities.
