Shireen Mushtaq is an assistant professor in the international relations department at Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore. She has a Ph.D. in international relations; her thesis is on Nation-building in Afghanistan: Post-Afghan Surge (2009–Present). She has worked extensively on the regional dynamics of South Asia, covering a wide range of issues such as nations and nationalism, strategic and maritime security, and foreign policy.
