The direct flight of Azerbaijan Airlines will operate between the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, and three bustling cities of Pakistan: Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. Azerbaijan Airlines commenced its operations in Pakistan on 20th September, 2023. This direct flight will depart from Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) in Baku and land at the three major airports of Pakistan.
Azerbaijan Airlines will use the A319 aircraft for flights to Pakistan which includes economy and business class cabins and facilities. This launch is the promotion of international ties between the two countries, enabling the citizens to explore each other’s customs and traditions. Along with Pakistan, direct flights by AZAL have also been introduced from Azerbaijan to Beirut, Dubai, Tel Aviv, Riyadh, and Moscow.
The direct flights between Azerbaijan and Pakistan will enable citizens of both countries to have more business and leisure opportunities. One must know that for the aviation industry, a direct flight means higher demand and revenue. The associated commercial traffic and passenger activity will increase by a greater amount.
One sector that will be greatly influenced by this is the tourism sector which is the backbone of every country. Travelers from both Azerbaijan and Pakistan have now gained a streamlined way to visit. Although a direct route may seem minor, it paves the way for increased partnership and prosperity over the long term.
