With a winning cash prize of US$500,000, the 2022 edition of the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS)-Pakistan Golf Championship will be a part of the Asian Tour and is scheduled to take place from 1st through 4th December at the Karachi Golf Club (KGC).

The Asian Tour is the principal body that runs professional golf tournaments within the Asian region. The last golf tournament in Pakistan that had been a part of the Asian Tour was the UMA-CNS Open in 2018.

Located in Rawalpindi, the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) is the governing body of golf in the country. It replaced the Pakistan Golf Union in 1982, following the introduction of a new sports policy. Presently, 48 golf courses have been registered with the PGF.
